Well, there's SU's greyish kraft and then there's paper bag brownish kraft. I have preferred the brown, but that being said I'm going to a party tonight and I'm going to order my first pkg of SU kraft cardstock!! I've made this chicken before, and a couple of weeks ago at the SCS gathering in WNY I made this as my shoebox (it is inspired by a stamp from Anna Wight). I got a gift from Kelly aka Schirmcat and told her I would send her out a chicken card for thanks, so today provided the perfect opportunity to make up Kelly's card and show you a couple of ways to do up this chicken (there are as many ways as your imagination will allow!!) I got the cool button in a garage sale pkg from Tillyhead.
I still get the odd request for this body pattern so I think it is about time to make things a wee bit easier on everyone and post here the pattern that my talented friend Diane Zechman aka cookiestamper, did up for this. You can find the pattern here: Blogs at Splitcoaststampers. So humbling and rewarding to see these sweeties pop up in the gallery and on pin boards. Thanks again Anna Wight for the original inspiration for these

Love this card and would love it if you would share how to make it with me. I collect chickens in my kitchen and then would be a cute additioan to my flock of hens and roosters.

These chicken cards are soooooo cute! Kelly is going to love hers. The only thing she would like better is if it was a sheep! LOL What a creation you have done today. Love them. TFS :0)

These are the cutest EVER!!! I'm a total sucker for creative uses for punches, and this sure fits that description - LOVE 'em! And I agree about the brown kraft - much warmer... I guess SU's kraft is more neutral, though, right? I just ordered another pack of it, myself!
