Well, there's SU's greyish kraft and then there's paper bag brownish kraft. I have preferred the brown, but that being said I'm going to a party tonight and I'm going to order my first pkg of SU kraft cardstock!! I've made this chicken before, and a couple of weeks ago at the SCS gathering in WNY I made this as my shoebox (it is inspired by a stamp from Anna Wight). I got a gift from Kelly aka Schirmcat and told her I would send her out a chicken card for thanks, so today provided the perfect opportunity to make up Kelly's card and show you a couple of ways to do up this chicken (there are as many ways as your imagination will allow!!) I got the cool button in a garage sale pkg from Tillyhead.
I still get the odd request for this body pattern so I think it is about time to make things a wee bit easier on everyone and post here the pattern that my talented friend Diane Zechman aka cookiestamper, did up for this. You can find the pattern here: Blogs at Splitcoaststampers. So humbling and rewarding to see these sweeties pop up in the gallery and on pin boards. Thanks again Anna Wight for the original inspiration for these

I am drawn to chickens - thanks for the inspiration. Your primitive designs are adorable.

Somehow missed these old hens when I was in your barnyard (I mean gallery) admiring your pigs the other day! Saw a link in the forums that led me here and I gotta say these are so cute! Love how you've decorated them - great fun!
