Q: Katy asks: What are some ways I can stamp an image in more than one color?"

A: There are some different techniques for getting a multicolored image, either in a single impression or by using a stamp positioner to layer impressions. Here are some tutorials to try:

Rock n' Roll: ink a solid stamp then roll the edges of the stamp on a second ink pad
Inking with Markers: use water-based markers to color directly on the stamp
Thumping: tap a darker colored marker over an inked image
On-Stamp Ink Blending: layer stamped and ink-brushed images using a positioner
MISTI Marbling: layer stamped images with varying applications of ink

Q: Leah writes: "I would love to hear how folks store their smaller clear stamp sets."

A: For years I have kept clear stamp sets in a large 3-ring binder. I purchased heavy duty sheet protectors and used my sewing machine to stitch across at the center, and from center top to bottom. I used a craft knife to carefully cut slits in the top layer of the sheet protector just below the center stitch line - this creates pockets on the bottom half. You can stitch 2 or 3 evenly spaced horizontal lines to create smaller pockets, or skip the vertical stitching to store larger sets. Have a storage tip for Leah? Share it HERE!

    Photo Corners
    Paper Piecing

Q: Betty writes: "I've just started quilting - do you have any quilt themed tutorials?"

A: We do have a few! And there are so many resources online for quilt block patterns that can be reproduced with paper squares and triangles. Several companies have quilt block dies and stencils, too!

    Quilted Card
    Disappearing Nine Patch Card
    Stack and Cut Quilt Cards

Q: Dori asks: "Do you have any tutorials that use gold leafing flakes?"

    A: Here are a few:
    Gilded Die Cuts
    Gilded Paper
    Gilded Ribbon
Each of these tutorials uses a different kind of adhesive - Tacky-When-Dry Medium, adhesive label paper, and double-sided tape! Hopefully that gives you lots of ideas for "gilding" different surfaces. Have fun!
