Q: Monique asks: "What adhesive do I use to attach burlap to a card?"

A: Since burlap is thick you have a lot of options for adhesive. A strong double sided tape would work. A thin layer of tacky glue would work as well (with any wet adhesive you'd want to lay a book or large acrylic block over the panel until it dries). An iron-on adhesive (also called double-sided fusible interfacing) is another option if you're concerned about fraying edges - you can find it in the sewing section of any craft store.

Q: Ramona asks: "How do you store your paper scraps?"

A: (Thank you for knowing that I cannot throw paper scraps away!) I use side-loading DVD binder pages that have 2 pockets each - each pocket is about 5.5" wide and 7" deep, which is perfect for anything the size of a card base or smaller. They're easy to pull out, and they're organized with one pocket for each color family. I keep them in hanging file folders right along with my cardstock.

Q: Shirley writes: "I'd like some ideas for birthday cards for men."

A: Our site gallery is an amazing resource with over 2.7 million entries! When users upload and add keywords to their entries, those keywords are searchable - they can be anything from challenge codes to themes, styles, holidays, and company names. You can click HERE to find all the gallery entries that have been tagged "masculine" and "birthday".
TIP: If you'd like your cards to show up in a search like this, be sure to use keywords, separated by commas, when you upload!

Q: Rebecca wants to know: "What is your worst crafty bad habit?"

A: My worst habit is definitely not putting supplies away as I go - sometimes the ideas are just nonstop, so instead of stopping to tidy up my space I just shove things to the side to start the next project. I typically have multiple projects going on at once!

Q: dunkccc asks: "What is an ATC?"

A: ATC stands for Artist Trading Card - these are small handmade cards that are just the size of a baseball card - 2.5"x3.5". They can be designed in any theme, and are often traded at events or through the mail. If you'd like to make your own trading cards, you can easily cut a standard sheet of cardstock into 10 ATC bases. First, cut a 3.5"x11" strip. That will yield 4 cards, cutting at 2.5", 5", 7.5", and 10". There will be a 5"x11" piece remaining - cut that in half and you'll have two strips, 2.5"x11". Each one will yield 3 cards, cutting at 3.5", 7", and 10.5". For over 10,000 ATC samples, check out our gallery HERE! If you're interested in an ATC swap, visit our forum HERE.
