Today's Limited Supply Challenge, #150, is to make a card or 3D object using only one color family for CS and inks, and only 2 embellies. I chose to make a pin, using Soft Subtles, and, well, I forgot about limiting the embellies- please don't send the challenge police after me!
I started with a Formica chip sample, and stamped *Cherish* and *Friend* in Staz-On. I applied 2 layers of white mulberry paper colored with a wash of Blush Blossom and Pretty in Pink markers. The bee is stamped in Staz-On on a piece of Barely Banana CS with the small oval punch, and fit into a piece of HodgePodge Hardware. A thick layer of Crystal Effects make him shine and pop. I stamped the Stiple Rose onto sanded white Polyshrink, and colored it with Soft Subtle markers. (The image looks dark because the colors darken up as the Poly. shrinks, but I did use only Soft Subtles markers.) I stamped it twice and cut out the roses to give it extra dimension. Finally, I attached some Swarovski crystals, a rose charm and some fibers.
I hope you like it, and forgive me for using too many embellies!
Thanks for looking!
Maddy

what a blessed friend to receive this pin! I love all the different elements on that paint chip...you have inspired me to try this technique and that's the nicest compliment I can think of...haven't used paint chips yet, haven't shrinky dinked yet...just another reason you are such a giver to SCS! Thanks for stretching me...

Oh my gosh! You really pulled out the stops on this little beauty! I'm so glad you broke the rules to make this so gorgeous! Leave it to you to find a way to make Soft Subtles look bold and vibrant! LOL! I love shrink plastic too, and how you did the rose is fantastic! Layered shrink plastic! TFS. Linda
