I then decided to try a variation of these shoes for a Cinderella glass slipper. I thought about giving it to the little girl next door, but then I found out that a friend of mine had a 50-year obsession with the movie Cinderella. I think that gives her prior claim to it.
This slipper was made by using one self-laminating sticky sheet sprinkled with glitter and sequins. Then I mounted a sheet of acetate on top. From there I used the pattern I mentioned from the CASE above. I used my CB to emboss some silver tape for the buckle and the band on the heel. Used the heat tool on the organdy ribbon to crinkle it. Rhinestones were used on the bows. Learned to use some interesting new words trying to get the adhesive to cooperate.
Trust me, stick with card stock to make these shoes, perhaps in different colors for variety! This stuff was a bit of a pain to work with, but I have to admit I liked the result. I plan to put a nice organdy bag with candy in the slipper.

I know you said to stick with the cardstock... but I am frusterated with stuff all the time- I might as well be frusterated for one of those because that was adorable and my neice would love it! tfs! this is amazing!

LOL...I warned you about that slipper. Listen, let me give you a handy dandy tip then. I used only one sheet of the sticky back self-laiminating stuff. You can get it at an office supply store. I went the cheaper way to save a little money, but hey, if it's for your niece...
Anyway, try using two sides of it to get the best hold. It's also more pliable than regular acetate. It will hold together better when you put the glitter in.
Very Beautiful, Cinderella is my favorite princess I would like to try and make one too, but I don't think I could do such a great job like you did. Way to Go!

WOW, I'm a little behind the times, so I'm just getting around to seeing this for the first time. I cannot believe your talent. By far, this is the most beautiful shoe I've yet to see. I'm confident you can market these to any number of small boutiques in your area! They are that gorgeous. Thanks so much for sharing your talent. You're an artist.
