This week the TeaPotters are headed to Canada to shower Lynn with some paper hugs.
Whenever my GD visits we spend some time in my craft room creating stamped images for her to color. A couple weeks ago she pulled out this long neglected stamp set and I showed her how to mask the birds so they would be sitting in the middle of the flowers. Naturally, this sprang to mind when I saw Pat's (aka casep) challenge to use a masking technique. Mine is just good old post-it notes. Nothing fancy here, just stamp, mask, stamp, repeat, color. I did fussy cut the hello( twice to stack it) and the butterfly which has one wing popped up on foam.
I tend to gravitate toward the cooler colors when you ask me my favorites; but, I do think yellow is the happiest color in the crayon tin so I included quite bit here. I hope it feels like a bit of sunshine to Lynn. I hope you find some sunshine in your life today too...mine will be from my hubby because it is cloudy and rainy here. Brrrrrrrr. TFL

Your masking is fantastic! I generally don't have much luck with it. The yellow coloring with the deeper shade looks awesome, Debbie. This truly is bright and happy looking with your colors and those two sweet birdies!

Oh, how I love the images (and the coloring) on your card! There's no doubt that your happy birds will be well loved by Lynn and will bring comfort and joy!!
