I didnât have any of the official colors for this weeks color challenge but I felt that this piece of Basic Gray paper came somewhat close so I decided to build my card around it. I cut out a piece and adhered to a white card. The rest of the card was inspired by a Pinterest pin I had saved:
I die cut a circle from the closest green I had to Old Olive, and stamped the image in black ink. I layered strips of pink and blue (the pink is the reverse side of the background paper) onto the card and then attached the circle. I cut another strip from the blue patterned paper from Parkland Paperie, and stamped the sentiment in Old Olive ink. I had the silhouette leaf die cut in a dish on my desk, leftover from a previous project and glued it to the circle before attaching the stamped strip. The card is for a friend who requested a âthinking of youâ card for a co worker who is in the hospital.
Oh forgot to mention I DO have an Old Olive ink pad and used that to ink the edges of each of the paper strips and the background paper before attaching. So thatâs one âofficialâ element at least!
TFL!
