This will go to Joyce who suffered a stroke and is now in rehab in need of warm fuzzies. Joyce loves among other things flowers and doing counted cross stitch, so I pulled out supplies from 40 years ago and stitched a small heart made of flowers. Since I wanted the card to look like a quilt, I found some old origami paper with a quilt patch look, glued it to more cardstock then cut a hexagonal aperture to frame my cross stitch heart. I will use the piece I cut out on the inside to frame a sentiment.

oh my - this will knock her socks off ! She had hand embroidered so many pictures that are hanging on my walls - she will absolutely adore this card. Those soft colors are very peaceful together. Thank you so much !

Adding my awe and omigosh and that's fabulous to this chorus. How awesome that you made that patch for her and it looks beautiful nested in the origami paper. I think you hit all the right notes on this one. Excellent card and I'm sure to become a cherished keepsake.

I love cross stitching. I should start doing it again. It's so fun and relaxing. And very easy to travel with. I used embarrass my friends by sitting at restaurants and cross stitching while I waited for my food. I'm so glad you stitched this cute little heart for Joyce! She will love it!
