I started this card front weeks ago. I had embossed the panel and then water colored around the holly leaves with a pale blue pearlized watercolor. Then I watercolored the holly in a green pearlized tint. I didn't like it because the colors were too light. So today when I saw the F4A challenge I decided to fix the panel. Have a Holly Jolly Christmas has always been one of my favorite songs since my girls were in a youth performing group and sang that song as part of their Christmas performances. It is so full of life and so much fun. I added layer of regular Cerulean blue watercolor to the BG and a layer of light green to the holly. Surprisingly, the pearlized shimmer still shows through. I stamped my greeting in Rich razzleberry to match the berries and mounted it on a white card base. I also drew a fine line of Razzleberry around the panel's edge.

Pat, one of my favorite color combinations. And that song never fails to elicit a heart warming smile! Isn’t it fun when something just waits for the perfect time to be brought forth...your card exhibits this perfectly.

Great job with adding all the color on your embossed Holly leaves! I bet it looks fantastic with the pearl IRL! You made a beautiful card!
Thanks for playing!
