 | | I started this card front weeks ago. I had embossed the panel and then water colored around the holly leaves with a pale blue pearlized watercolor. Then I watercolored the holly in a green pearlized tint. I didn't like it because the colors were too light. So today when I saw the F4A challenge I decided to fix the panel. Have a Holly Jolly Christmas has always been one of my favorite songs since my girls were in a youth performing group and sang that song as part of their Christmas performances. It is so full of life and so much fun. I added layer of regular Cerulean blue watercolor to the BG and a layer of light green to the holly. Surprisingly, the pearlized shimmer still shows through. I stamped my greeting in Rich razzleberry to match the berries and mounted it on a white card base. I also drew a fine line of Razzleberry around the panel's edge. |
