I also used this week's watercoloring technique - negative watercoloring. Drew my roses and did three layers of washes (four on this one). I did a water color splatter and didn't like it so then I splattered on gold paint and liked it a bit better, but still not happy with it. Love the flowers though.
This is also for MMTPT where we are sending flowers to Marion. She needs some encouragement and paper hugz having been through a very tough health crisis.
Hugz to you all, I will be back to comment in a few hours - have a birthday breakfast to attend (Grandson).
Congrats, Patti!!! Enjoy your week. Thanks for the inspiration.

First, I love your drawn roses, and second)- you drew those roses!!! LOL I love the watercoloring and the technique. I also really love the effect and texture the splatter adds! I adore the sentiment on vellum so the roses behind it are still visable! Beautiful, Beautiful and Beautifully done!

your colors here are just stunning Nancy. I like the little bits of gold bling too, the texture of it is really 3-d to me and I had thought it was embossed so, it was fun to read it was paint.

Love your handrawn roses. And the first thing I noticed was the gold paint and I love it! This is beautifully watercolored and will be just lovely to send to Marion.

Awesome job on this Nancy and I think you are being too hard on yourself. You captured the technique which shows, and used beautiful colours. Well done.
