For Polly's Stencil Salutations MMTPT challenge. We're sending our cards to encourage a friend of SueEllen's who is dealing with cancer. Remember we're always happy to send cards to a destination you suggest - details of how to propose someone are in a stickied thread in the challenge forum.
I spent quite a while taking breaks from the housework yesterday and working on a piece to use as my background - and then decided it didn't need the addition of a stencil. So I raided my background box for a gel print with purple.
Gel print from stash.
OBDB (Divinity Designs) Scripture Collection 1 stamped on white card and embossed. Cut with Labels 18, sponged with Mowed Lawn distress while in the die, then stamped with leaf from Vintage Vogue. Spellbinder trellis cut from white card, torn and laid underneath. Foliage is Cheery Lynnâs small Fanciful Flourish. The flowers (ODBD aster) are cut from alcohol inks on photo paper, with microbeads in the centre. The bird is an old Spellbiners die, and itâs cut from a piece of card which was a bokeh background created with a homemade stencil. I sponged a bit of green on the cap, masked part off and stamped Music Notes in some dark blue. Enamel Accents for the eye. This is the verse I nearly used the other day when I was asked to make a "typical of me" card and send it to somebody, so it was still in my mind. I hope it comforts Cammie.

I don't know where to start. Every time I scroll back I see something I missed, there are so many special little details - from the stitched border to the microbeads, the amazing gel print, the colours, the verse, the little bird, the trellis ....wow, everything is wonderful. Ahhh Sabrina, I knew this was yours the minute I saw it in the gallery.
