Robin's (Stamperrobin) fun Free for All challenge, has us using our words. I used quite a few words when I was searching for this sentiment stamp.
Have you ever reorganised your craft stuff and then can't find anything! I have 3 stamps (from different companies) with this sentiment....I have no clue as to their whereabouts, but I dare say they are together (laughing at me).
I had already completed "the family" so I didn't have a lot of wriggle room to hand write the sentiment. I did a practice run by placing a scrap of acetate on the card and writing the sentiment on the acetate to see if it would fit. After a few attempts to get the right size of the lettering, I wrote directly onto the paper.
I stamped the images onto copy paper using MISTI and Versafine ink. When using copy paper in MISTI, I find it best to fold an A4 sheet in half, this gives the edges a bit more ompf when pushing into the MISTI corners..
Everything (except the sky) was done with Prismacolour Pencils, Zest it pencil blend and highlighted with a few Copics and liquid pearls.
The sky was done with Distress ink, applied with a
rectangle foam blending tool and a dauber for in between the fiddly bits. Because this is copy paper, I can't use water with the distress ink, and to make the dodgy blending look like it was meant to be, lots of random messy dots were added using a stencil.
Scrubbing walnut stain distress ink in random places and applying grey Copics around the edges of the family and tree also helps with this rough and ready look.
Thank you for looking and I hope you get a chance to get inky this weekend.

...and let's keep it that way, right!!!!?????? You wrote that? I hate my writing. So fun and colorful and silly. Oh and I'm always losing things, still haven't found a die that flipped off the platform and sometimes i lose something i just had in my hand two seconds ago.

I love this family! It makes me smile. No matter how much I practice , my writing wouldn’t look this good on a card. And I can certainly relate tho stamps hiding somewhere in my craft room laughing at me. LOL. Fabulous card!

Love the toadstool tree. And the little one reminds me of My in the Moomin books, she looks just as spunky and feisty. Great work with the lettering. I usually find my practice piece is the best one, which is really frustrating.

Smiling here......this is sooooo fun! On a serious note that is one amazing hand written sentiment. Like the tip on using the acetate to align your sentiment. TFS
