I made this card for this week's Teapot Party Challenge. Polly is our hostess and she chose a wonderful theme of "Hug-a-thon" for this week. This card will be going to Amanda who is going through a really tough time right now. For some reason, daisies make me happy so my hope is this cheerful daisy will make Amanda smile. The background was made by sprinkling color burst powders onto kromekote paper, then spraying it with water. Once the colors were blended the way I wanted them to be, I set this piece aside to dry. I die cut the daisy piece out of white cs, then die cut this piece again using a rectangle die to get the frame around it. The sentiment dies are cut from purple glitter paper. Once the background piece was completely dry, I sprayed it with Elmer's spray adhesive, and poured dazzling diamonds glitter over the entire piece. Shook off the excess glitter and set this aside to dry again. Once dry, it was just a matter of assembling everything with glue and score tape. I am also entering this card into this week's Alphabet Challenge for the letter H for hugs. Thank you for looking today. ~Karen.

What a gorgeous card, Karen! Love all the sparkles and your shade of blue with the white daisy. And who doesn’t love daisies? They do cheer me up and hopefully, Amanda. Beautifully done.

Wow! I love all that wonderful sparkle, Karen. And, blue with violet is one of my fave combos of color. The daisy will be a pick-me-up for Amanda, I just know it. Beautiful card.

You make such gorgeous powder backgrounds, Karen. I've tried my Brushos on kromekote but they sure don't come out looking like this. And the added glitter must be totally amazing in real life. I think you've used blues beautifully here - and given Amanda a break from all the hydrangeas. Personally, give me a daisy any day. This reminds me of the big Michaelmas (shasta type) daisies that grew in the border under my windowsill when I was growing up.

wow, Karen...this card is fantastic! I love the balance of your white elements against the glittery bg and sentiment. Thank you for the detailed writeup. I haven't ever used the diamond product, but it seems like I might 'need' it!
I am betting my money on Amanda lovin' this card.
