I am elated to be a Color Challenge Guest Designer for the month of June. Thank you, Mary!! This is my card for the first June challenge.
Pam MacKay is the hostess for this week's color challenge. She selected a beautiful color combination of SU Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, and Cherry Cobbler. Her dessert option is "beach".
I do not have all of the SU colors, so I had to make some substitutions that are closely related to Pam's colors. To create the card, I cut an A2 size card base with a top fold. I used an ODBD rectangle die to cut out the center of the card base. Then I stamped and colored the ODBD Adirondack Chairs image. Using SU Marina Mist, I sponged the sky and ocean.
I die cut a yacht and colored it a shade of cherry cobbler and crumb cake and added it to the scene. Then I added and heat set some Liquid Applique around the yacht and places in the water to create waves. Then, I attached the scene to the inside of the front of the card base.
I hope you enjoy my first card as a June Guest Designer and leave a comment. Thanking you in advance!

Oh wow, I see your chairs are totally red, Bev! Nothing wrong with that since they look wonderful against your beach sand and grassy sprigs! Such a pretty beach themed card and so typical to be on shore and see some sort of boat/ship going by~ In Va Beach, it's normal to see tankers and oilers and all sorts of military ships in the distance.

Lovely beach scene Bev! I have chairs like that up north and love to look out over the lake sitting in them. The liquid appliqué foam make wonderful waves. Your billowing clouds look great coming right down to the horizon. Beautiful card!

Bev, what a beautiful scene you created. I love you have an ocean with a boat and it just looks like a beautiful day. I'll just pretend I am in one of those adirondack chairs and enjoy the view. Beautiful creation!!! Wonderful verse.

WHAT A SUPER JOB you've done on your card, Bev! Yes, the sentiment is SO TRUE! WHEREVER we are, CAN BE "paradise!" ;) And the Scripture you've used is one of my all time FAVORITES TOO! You did a SUPER JOB on the waves for this scene too & just the over-all scene! THANK YOU for coming over to visit! ;) (((HUGS!)))

WOW, Bev! Love your beach/ water scene...what fabulous sponged clouds...would love those beauties in our often gray "Seattle" skies! The liquid applique does a great job subbing for waves, and my favorite thing...Adirondack chairs...looking so great on your sand and scrub grass beach! SUPER card, Bev!
