I am elated to be a Color Challenge Guest Designer for the month of June. Thank you, Mary!! This is my card for the first June challenge.
Pam MacKay is the hostess for this week's color challenge. She selected a beautiful color combination of SU Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, and Cherry Cobbler. Her dessert option is "beach".
I do not have all of the SU colors, so I had to make some substitutions that are closely related to Pam's colors. To create the card, I cut an A2 size card base with a top fold. I used an ODBD rectangle die to cut out the center of the card base. Then I stamped and colored the ODBD Adirondack Chairs image. Using SU Marina Mist, I sponged the sky and ocean.
I die cut a yacht and colored it a shade of cherry cobbler and crumb cake and added it to the scene. Then I added and heat set some Liquid Applique around the yacht and places in the water to create waves. Then, I attached the scene to the inside of the front of the card base.
I hope you enjoy my first card as a June Guest Designer and leave a comment. Thanking you in advance!
Bev

Your card is so beautiful and refreshing. I love how you made the pretty clouds and added the liquid applique to the water. There is only one problme, it makes me want to go to the ocean. LOL Congratulations, on being guest designer. I know all your creations will be wonderful, as always.

A fabulous card with wonderful sponged clouds, the boat in the background, the waves and the chairs. What an inviting beach scene - I want to be there now!

Glad to see you guesting this month, Bev. Today's challenge was right up your alley wasn't it. You make a mean beach scene! Love the texture of those ocean waves and those fluffy clouds in the sky. I'd sure be happy to relax in those chairs all day!

Such a fabulous card with today's colors. Love your adirondack chairs. So easy to get into and comfy - not so easy to get out of (for me anymore - lol).
