Hello, my sweet friends! Well, if you've not yet heard, Power Poppy is having a blow-out birthday celebration for Marcy who just loves to celebrate! I'm using one of the THREE newly remixed digital images she's releasing today, and they are all great for masculine cards. The sentiments are great and include some that are perfect for Father's Day that is coming up. As many of you know, I really struggle with masculine cards.
I used X-Press It Blending Card because it was so much easier for blending large areas like the sky. I had to Google images of fly-fishing to see what color a trout was and some ideas for the outfit. But it was fun, and I used the new Wonky Stitched Rectangles die and matted it with green. And I just added "happy birthday" to add to my stash that I will need for one of our three sons and two grandsons. So one down - hehe!
So, dear friends, thanks for taking a closer look at my card, and I hope you have a wonderful week coming up. Big hugs!
Stop by my blog for more details and links about this weekend's celebration, new monthly challenge, and opportunities to win a stamp set.

This is simple FABULOUS, Cheryl! Perfect coloring of the trout and the fisherman's outfit is spot on. My DH is an avid trout, fly fisherman. Your coloring is amazing.

I find masculine cards hard to do too. But this image is just perfect. As always you have done a beautiful job on colouring - and the little rainbow trout is just perfect too. Where was this image a month or so ago when I was struggling to do something for a friend of mine who loves his fishing. I am going to have to add that wonky stitched die to my "wish list".

Fantastic masculine card Cheryl... When I thought of PoppyPower I thought flowers... No flowers here.... What a great image for that fisherman in our lives. Mine is actually going to the lake this morning. Your coloring is amazing as usual, love your rainbow trout.
