When I saw Jen's card which you can view here I knew it was one I had to try some day and this challenge was the motivation I needed. I didn't really case it, I blatantly copied it with the exception of changing the leaves, the leaf coloring and the stitching was by hand because it was easier than hauling down that tank of a machine and setting it up. I simply drew a wavy line on acetate and pierced it, using it as a template to then pierce the card and hand stitch. Jen has such a delightful, CAS style and her cards are always so well designed. She encourages so many of us with kind words. Thanks for stopping by. I hope to do this challenge all year long.

Nancy, absolutely beautiful, it looks like a painting! That hand stitching sounds like a lot of work, but what a wonderful result! I love the simplicity of the card, even though the making was anything but simple!

Nancy, I was wrong on this one. I thought you finally used a machine for your stitching, but I was wrong! Nice case but that stitching gives it your personal touch! Well done! tfs

Gorgeous! Oh my gosh the muted colors on here are so fantastic. I love muted tones. That leaf is colored to perfection and this is one of my favorite stamp sets. Wow I can't believe you did all that sewing by hand. I keep a machine set up in an extra bedroom for my cards. Its old but it works great for this.

Nancy, this hand-stitched card is such a beauty. You really didn't need to haul down your sewing machine as you do so well by hand.
