Our cards this week are going to a little 4 year old princess named Isabella. Isabella's story is heartbreaking, she is undergoing weekly treatment for cancer. I hope our cards can bring a little bit of sunshine to Isabella and her family. Jennifer (mother's daughter) has included a link to Isabella's web page. (I don't know how to do that, sorry.)
The pressure is on this week ladies, four year old little girls have a very keen eye and honest opinions, combine this with our very own Pat (Blooms In A Box) who introduced us to Isabella. Everything Pat creates in incredible and inspiring. It is because of Pat's encouragement and kindness 2 years ago that I am a splitcoaststamper.
The Teapot story was wondeful (as always), resulting in a request for 42,000 teapotters to bring pizzaz, pink AND bling to the dolls teaparty.
In real life this stair step fold is sparkle-arkel-ing!! Unfortunately so is EVERYTHING in my house including me. Let me go back one step...I went to a craft show on the weekend and purchased a glue pen and super fine glitter. After I made this card for Isabella I decided to put the glitter into a bigger container. Have I ever mentioned I get hayfever, scratch eyes and sudden sneezing...yep I sneezed, spreading glitter all the way across the room. I cannot believe how far one little pot of glitter can spread. Oh well, there was no blood or bruising this week, that makes a nice change to my mishaps LOL.
About the card, there are 2 sets of steps here. The middle "upright" bit is supporting the mushroom. The mushroom is technically a TiddlyInks digi stamp. I printed it on photocopier paper, cut it out and then used it as a template and traced it on Prima dp. The digi stamp had a lot of leaves and flowers on it that I didn't want. I hope I haven't broken any stamping rules and laws. If I end up in Crafters Prison perhaps you could have a teaparty for me!!
This was very hard to photograph, on each step there is a little paper doll from the Prima dp, I added two of my favourite fences on the second step. The IO die grass at the front is adhered with a glue stick. The very back row looks uneven, but it actually follows the line of flags printed on the dp.
I blinged up the two flourishes on the mushroom dolls house to add a bit more sparkle. I have written Isabella on the inside of the door.
Thank you for looking and have a wonderful week.

WOW Susie! You are amazing! I have no clue how you come up with and design these incredible, 3-D cards and I enjoy seeing every single one of them. I can't imagine how long it took you to fussy cut all that. What gorgeous papers you chose. Thanks for the giggles with your fun stories too. Super fine glitter? yep- I know that one well. Even without a sneeze it seems to float right out of the jar anyway!

I just left a message on Kathleen Lammie's card saying she had created the exact tea party I would have wanted at age 4. And you, Susie, have created the house I would have wanted to hold that party in. This is just perfect -- pink and sparkly and Hobbity, and covered with pretty vines. You're right, 4-year-olds do have strong opinions, and I'm positive this card will be a winner.

Oh wow, and wow! Life has been busy and I didn't have time to get to visit the gallery and comment last week. I'm glad to have made some time this evening and to find this amazing pink toadstool home for those two sweet little girls.
Glitter, allergies - hmmm, I wonder if that is why my eyes were sore and running for two days this week. I didn't make the connection, but now you mention it...But doesn't it look so wonderful .

oh my...love all the sparkly wonderfulness of this...your scenes are always so wonderfully done and I can see why they make you the slowest cardmaker (but I'm still the record holder for the messiest)...and remind me to thank Patty-cakes for introducing you to us so we can all enjoy your art. This will bring a huge smile to her face I know.

Oh my goodness Miss Susie!!! You created a fairytale fairy land for Isabella. I love your creations! There is always so much depth to them. Sorry about your glitter mishap, I don't have to sneeze to get glitter everywhere, I got kids you like to play in it...lol
