Apologies for my oh-so-generic title.
These were so fun to do. After die cutting I cut the skates again in silver shine. They are a bit more grungy than the photo shows. They were inked with gray and tea inks. Then 24 mini eyelets were set and Irish linen thread was used for the shoe laces. I sketched the seam on the heal of the boot and pierced with Pergamano piercing tool and hand stitched each skate around the laces and heel. I then cut the blade off the white skate and adhered to the shimmer skate. Crinkled some seam binding from Joann's and added a few MS pine sprigs and holly. Finally hand stitched around the card and added the tiny sentiment.
Thanks for looking.

Lordy, Nancy - you really did a fabulous job on those skates - talk about attention to detail - the eyelets, lacings, and all that hand stitching - this card just looks just AMAZING - now if I can pick my jaw up off the floor........

M-e-r-c-y..... 24 mini eyelets....that alone is amazing! Your work is so beautifully detailed. My heart smiled to see this, and it reminded me of my mom, who used to go on dates with my dad on the frozen ponds in the country side of upstate NY. Beautiful work.
