Snowy Owl sits in a tree
hooting out his love for Marie
Snowy Owl hoots her his praise
for her strength and courage each day
Snowy Owl knows it can be tough
and there may be days when she says "Enough!"
Snowy Owl hoots "Do not cry"
For many friends are nearby
Okay, so I'm not the greatest poet, but Bertie wanted me to write a Snowy Owl poem to go with our Snowy Owl card for Marie. You can read about Marie in the Teapot Tuesday Destination Station.
I made the Snow Owl with the Stampin' Up owl punch, clipping off the ears.
For the owl's eyes, I used a 1/2" circle punch in white and feathered the outer edges with my scissors. I then layered Chocolate Chip and More Mustard with the circle punches from the owl punch. Using my double circle punch, I glued black cardstock on top of the More Mustard and then topped off with a Robin's Nest clear beads to finish his eyes.
My sentiment is computer generated, die cut with circle Nestabilities, and cut off at the bottom.
Bertie and I are heading out of town to meet up with a friend to go see the Princess Diana exhibit at one of our art museums for the day, but we'll be back this evening to comment on your cards! Also, Bertie has given all flingin' authority and duties to da Mudder!

Guess what Bertie! Owl feathers don't fling so good! I had a hard time getting them to get fling...they kept softly landing way in front of the target! I didn't do very good in your stead.....maybe I shoulda been flinging tree branches! Yah, that would have worked better! Snort!
OMG! What an adorable card you made for Marie! I love the wintery look of this card..the colors are awesome, its just precious! You had your mind on snow....go figure! And your poem is perfect! You are a poet girlfriend!

WOW Charlene... this is one fabulous winter scene! Love that snow falling gently on the pines and your cute owl perched on his branch. Hope you had a great time at the Princess Diana exhibit.

Beautiful snowy owl card with your brilliant yellow moon against your starry night sky. The eyes on your owl are wonderful. Such a grand wintery scene. Snow owls are my fav - we see an occaisional one around here. Marie will love this.
