The Dirty Dozen? Really? It started with a PM from Lydia regarding my Albums vs. Gallery, and I was certain I had done something wrong, at least wrong enough to warrant this message. We chatted about all that is SCS for about five minutes, and Lydia asked me if I would like to be a part of the Dirty Dozen! Not in my wildest dreams had I ever even entertained such a thought! Silence fell, and tears- tears of relief that I had not gone astray in the gallery, and tears of unbelief.
Growing up in the mountains of Northern California, I met my sweetheart 38 years ago. We married and moved to Clovis, Ca. where we raised our two wonderful sons. Soon my DH will retire and by next May, I will join him in the Land of Retirement as we move to Cody, Wyoming to be with our children and grandchild- who are the center of our lives! Card making has become a passion for me ever since my first SU Class some years ago. My Demo, and now "Bestie IRL" Natalie introduced me to SU, and the fire began! I had no idea about this world but was fascinated by all Natalie created- she started with a torn piece of paper, and I was done! I bought my first set, thinking although I could not make “real” cards, I could use the scriptures I bought to make stationery. Now, I literally wake up with ideas in the wee hours, and get to it before the sun comes up! I love that stamping is an outlet to share my family, my faith and sometimes my twisted sense of humor as well.
One thing I can tell you about this journey is that I am mindful of all that SCS has done for my paper crafting, and all of the beautiful and talented people in this place. After looking for some time, I joined and began commenting. It took some time before I had the courage to upload, and that is when it started. The encouragement found through others in SCS has been incredible and I am so thankful for those who share ideas, techniques and often their hearts on paper. I have often called SCS “Card College”, and have taken so much inspiration from others, and have my favorite “Professors” too. I love how this community of stampers comes together to sharpen one another, and also how my very best friends have come from this place. I have been blessed to meet many of those I came to love, and can honestly say I have never met a Stamper I did not have an instant bond with. Lydia, thank you so much for this opportunity. I hope we can kick up some dust together in this Dirt Pile! Hugs.....

Sweet, sissy, I am not sure I ever commented here on your photo, so I'm doing it now! I L-O-V-E you so much, and you are the most wonderful and kind and loving person here on SCS, and your work is exquisite. You mean so much to me and so many here, and I continue to pray for you and love you dearly...to the moon and back! Hehe! Yes, probably no one but you will ever see this. But if they do, it's okay! I can love on you in public anytime! Sending warm hugs and love, precious sister...forever with Him! Squishies to you! xoxo
