Marisa, aka whiterockmama, aka MamaRitzi was our Featured Stamper earlier this month. I'm late out of the gate as usual, but it was her birthday last week. I decided to CASE another one of the many fabulous cards in her gallery as a birthday card. I chose this card as my inspiration as it was a comment I made about the snow in the background of her photo that resulted in our first round of back and forth messages. Two years later and all I can see when I look outside is snow, snow snow - how about you Marisa!?! Are the cherry trees out your way in blossom yet?
Things I changed: Different stamps; made it a birthday card; added wet & dry embossing and score lines. And, since it was for Marisa, I had to be sure to include Verve stamps & Swiss Dots!
I perused this week's Inspiration Challenge website too and used the Nurse Barbie as inspiration: the pleats on her dress are represented in the score lines; I have included polka dots and I used the black/red/white colour combo.
This also fits Glenda's Random Amusing challenge # 101 to use both polka dots and stripes on a card. I have striped ribbon and score lines and polka dotted ribbon and Swiss Dots.
So, happy belated birthday Marisa. Hope you had a great day and a year filled with blessings (and stamping).
