This is for today's Inspiration Challenge, Oompa. It's a toy company that features toys without blinking lights, batteries, etc. So I thought a vintage looking card might be appropriate, and this is my attempt. I was inspired by this Trees Bedding Set by Boodalee...love the colors! I must also add that I took inspiration from the new SU! catalog in trying to make a vintage card. I just kept adding and adding stuff, so vintage, shabby chic, whatever you call it...I like how it turned out.
This thank you card will go to my mom. She always helps our family so much and especially this past week. My husband had to go to the ER with a bleeding ulcer and almost didn't make it. He was in the ICU for many days. We are so thankful that he's home now and doing just fine...already back to work and eating pizza! But it puts everything in perspective. Say a thank you prayer for us.
I also need to thank my good friend Lisa for giving me packs of the new colors and ribbon...you ROCK, Lisa! She brought a boatload of goodies and my new catalog to the hospital. I think my mom will like this. I love the colors...hope you do, too. TFL!

Very vintage and so chic. I think that your mom will totally love this. I love the sponging/distressing that you did around the butterfly stamp! Just beautiful for the IC today. Glad that your hubby is doing better.

Wow! "Shabby chic"... If we looked that up in the dictionary, this card would be the picture next to it. Love all the details, down to the white gel pen. And so very glad that your hubby is quickly getting back to his old self. (God is good, all the time.)

Another beauty! Love the clever sketch and your coloring is perfect. Great textures here too. As always, a work of art, my friend.

What a gorgeous creation with its combination of pattern and texture. Your story about your DH is so shocking. You have been blessed that all worked out and he is home and improved. Take care and keep stamping.
