I am editing my card to honor Hotwheels/ Linda our Queen for the Day. Hope you can hold up the shimmering crown all week, Linda! Congratulations to you, enjoy your special time.
Tonight I had already been working on this one and spotlighting is the technique!! So, I lucked out. This is a CASE from Hotwheels card:
I used spotlighting instead of coloring the entire image. Copics were used for the coloring. I kept some green DP in the background, but I changed the shape of the layer. I also embossed the layer and distressed this with a brown ink pad. I used fingerwalking with the woodgrain background to create an interesting background. I kept a panel for the sentiment.
I used my nestie with the deckled edges and green metallic brads in the corner.
Thanks for viewing and commenting. Thank you, Hotwheels, for the inspiration.

Whoa, Kathy, is this ever spectacular on so many different levels too. Everything shouts masculine and the lines and spotlight technique is wonderfully fabulous. I hope you win big in Vegas this week you deserve all the money in those vaults with a card like this. Fabulous card.

Oh, Cathy--this is fantastic!! What a great image to use spotlighting on. The colors you chose are terrific and your layout (with great use of the vintage labels element) looks fab. Lovely work
