Tonight I had already been working on this one and spotlighting is the technique!! So, I lucked out. This is a CASE from Hotwheels card:
I used spotlighting instead of coloring the entire image. Copics were used for the coloring. I kept some green DP in the background, but I changed the shape of the layer. I also embossed the layer and distressed this with a brown ink pad. I used fingerwalking with the woodgrain background to create an interesting background. I kept a panel for the sentiment.
I used my nestie with the deckled edges and green metallic brads in the corner.

That's one great card - I love the spotlighted element on this. Makes a great guy card. We see a lot of deer in the nearby park where we often go for walks, but alas, we don't often have such a blue sky.
