Our cards this week are going to a little 4 year old princess named Isabella. Isabella's story is heartbreaking, she is undergoing weekly treatment for cancer. I hope our cards can bring a little bit of sunshine to Isabella and her family. Jennifer (mother's daughter) has included a link to Isabella's web page. (I don't know how to do that, sorry.)
The pressure is on this week ladies, four year old little girls have a very keen eye and honest opinions, combine this with our very own Pat (Blooms In A Box) who introduced us to Isabella. Everything Pat creates in incredible and inspiring. It is because of Pat's encouragement and kindness 2 years ago that I am a splitcoaststamper.
The Teapot story was wondeful (as always), resulting in a request for 42,000 teapotters to bring pizzaz, pink AND bling to the dolls teaparty.
In real life this stair step fold is sparkle-arkel-ing!! Unfortunately so is EVERYTHING in my house including me. Let me go back one step...I went to a craft show on the weekend and purchased a glue pen and super fine glitter. After I made this card for Isabella I decided to put the glitter into a bigger container. Have I ever mentioned I get hayfever, scratch eyes and sudden sneezing...yep I sneezed, spreading glitter all the way across the room. I cannot believe how far one little pot of glitter can spread. Oh well, there was no blood or bruising this week, that makes a nice change to my mishaps LOL.
About the card, there are 2 sets of steps here. The middle "upright" bit is supporting the mushroom. The mushroom is technically a TiddlyInks digi stamp. I printed it on photocopier paper, cut it out and then used it as a template and traced it on Prima dp. The digi stamp had a lot of leaves and flowers on it that I didn't want. I hope I haven't broken any stamping rules and laws. If I end up in Crafters Prison perhaps you could have a teaparty for me!!
This was very hard to photograph, on each step there is a little paper doll from the Prima dp, I added two of my favourite fences on the second step. The IO die grass at the front is adhered with a glue stick. The very back row looks uneven, but it actually follows the line of flags printed on the dp.
I blinged up the two flourishes on the mushroom dolls house to add a bit more sparkle. I have written Isabella on the inside of the door.
Thank you for looking and have a wonderful week.
