I love the inspiration challenge. I always have the intentions to make more than one card but then reality sets in and that is having two preschoolers trying to stamp with you sucks all my energy out. As I was stamping these birds my three year old wanted to stamp birds too. Then I had to cut his birds out like I did mine but he was very upset with me for cutting the birds 'feets' off. Meanwhile, I forgot all about putting supper in the oven so I had to order pizza in!!
One of my birds isn't blue because 'she' is the female and I decided the blue birds must be courting her. Somehow I ended up with the sentiment 'blessed' which made me chuckle when I wondered how blessed this poor little gal really is to have not one but two men bothering her! All this while I had my two little men bothering me. Ah, it made me smile at least.
Oh yes, the background is a technique that is supposed to make it look like weathered barnwood. I can't remember the name of it though (help me out PattyB). You take two craft pads (white and vanilla) and drag them one at a time across the paper. I added the lines in with a gray marker.

Love your barnboard technique - great design - love the birds - even if they don't have feet!!!
