IÂ’m having some fun with alcohol inks and embossing. I saw a fabulous poster online and borrowed similar colors for my background.
-For better control of the inks I cut the background panel into sections, added color with alcohol inks, taped it back together and heat embossed with the CHF Weave Backgrounder using a clear powder and it has great texture without hiding the color.
-The flower image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits then heat embossed with two coats of clear powder; this helps brighten the color. To cut the straight line between the image lines I used a straight edge Coluzzle template then cut around the image with scissors.
-The image panel is popped up with foam squares.
I found the iris image at our local one of kind dollar store, who could pass up that dollar find! All other images are from Cornish Heritage Farms.

Glorious Roxie!!! Beautiful work with the alcohol ink backgrounds - just gorgeous - and I had no idea that embossing clear over a prisma colour image would brighten the colours!!! Just beautiful - into my fav's for reference - and I see Mona Lisa - a stamping heavy weight (unlike me!! ) loves your artistry too!! Gorgeous!

Magnificent coloring. You really nailed it. I have a pix in my bedroom that has the same colors and design type- probably the same artist that you saw. This is just wonderful.
