Toni is this week's Ways to Use It Challenge Hostess. Her challenge, We Are "Versa"-tile was the perfect incentive for me to try the Faux Patina technique. The vintage copper tile look reminded me of the pretty tea kettle die and an old favorite sentiment stamp. I brushed ink on the edge of the sentiment panel and over a woodgrain embossed panel. Adhered the panels to a black card base and finished it with a vellum doily and some musical notes. TFL
Hope you'll play along with Toni's challenge!

Oh wow, another fabulous tea lover's card Carla. This tea kettle is gorgeous and looks even more so against your gorgeous patina background. And this sentiment- perfection! I will be chuckling about this for a few days now - too funny! I will have to remember this when I am feeling up to my nose in hot water. Ha! ~Karen.

Another great teapot card. The quote made me smile. I have always admired the faux patina technique and will have to give it a go after seeing the background for this pretty card.

Hi, I am crazy for this sentiment, and as an avid Tea drinker, this card just speaks to me ! but WOW WOW on the vintage 'tile' background, really beautiful and the great touch to add the Copper EP to the kettle handle. I have never seen Vellum doilies for sale - maybe you made it - but I will check around, so sharp, crisp pattern. just lovely. : ) This composition of woodgrain base and copper tiles makes me want to be right in this kitchen, getting my tea ready! : )
also, thanks for being so gracious on my 'need a hug' card from yesterday. I got so excited when I saw your vellum challenge and had just been saying to my friend that my tea bag paper reminded me of vellum. my excitement took over and I impulsively listed on your challenge and then by nighttime I worried that I over stepped. I am so grateful that you were kind about me jumping. thanks and take good care, Teresa
