I am working out some grief by creating this for my daughter's friend Nikki. Nikki died on Thursday. They met in kindergarten. Nikki was an incredibly creative soul; played piano and clarinet, funny as all get out, had an art degree from UWM and did pottery and jewelry mostly. I have two pieces of hers; she loved to do art swaps. It is beyond sad that her life ended at 39.
This is also for today's CAS...debatable that this is CAS enough, although it was simple. There is plenty of white. I used water to move the Brushos around on the tissue, which has sparkly flecks.
Believe it or not, this is also for Melody's DTGD21 challenge...pecking away at these, I will not be deterred. Then, I thought, why not?? ABC15W is watercolor. And, last but not least, Friday's MIX, a collaboration between Polly and Susan...use something from a magazine, junk mail, etc. in your project. I messed around with many ideas, finally decided to KISS and use some old flute music paper.

bfnm, my heart and arms reach out for (((((u both))))). Your art therapy is a deep dive into the heart. The contrast between the white spaces and your stunning panel are a journey in remembering Nikki. I love you used your flute music for the butterfly. So, so many emotions flutter on the wings of love.

So very sorry for your loss. I love this beautiful make- the brusho's are so very vibrant. Love the music BG with the butterflies, and wonderful Oragami butterfly made of a sheet of music.

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that creating this beautiful card eased your pain at least for a while. I love how you created the butterfly, and how the textured background is both bold and a perfect way to show off the butterfly.
