Truth be told, I think I started this Serendipity Squares challenge a few years ago when it was the TLC then or a Ways to Use it. I had made the sheet of paper with torn scraps. I love the color palette! I got part of the mannequin covered, but lost track of time and never finished it. I've come across it several times over the years and just couldn't make it happen. Thank you, Sabrina, for bringing it back to the TLC. Having the scrap paper already made was a real help. I also used a background stenciled from my stash.
The Picasso quote: 'Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life' was inked directly on the background. No matter how much time I have to create art, I always come away from it refreshed. Even when it is years in the making...
Hope you've had the dust washed off recently. I'd love to hear your story. Thanks for stopping by...

I'm so glad you saved it, and stuck with it through this challenge. Gorgeous and beautiful with the shades of blue, and so fab that it's the dressform. The bg of your card is so pretty, and it takes nothing away from the feature!!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome, mf!

I saw this earlier when I wasn't in a position to comment. Now I am sitting in the sun eating Easter jellybeans and fully able to appreciate this splendour! While the colours are among my favourites what I really like is the dress's 'flounce'. It reminds me of a candy wrapper - do you detect a theme here? :-) Wonderful card Susan and a super quote!

Even with the lapse of time, your card is totally styling! Great colors, textures, and patterns.

That is an awesome dress! I would wear it if I had anywhere to go in it. So glad you finished it and got it on display! That quote is one of my favorite - it's my signature line. Beautiful work on the background. It is stunning all by itself, but even better as the backdrop for the beauty of a dress.

This is gorgeous! The colors and patterns you used for your "master board" are beautiful! How fun that you had that part done already so that you could simply create your stunning design! I just love that dressform!
