I survived another Watercolor Wednesday! But I totally cheated by drawing in the stripes in my sky with Spectrum Aqua markers and then spreading the color around with water and a brush. I did the other one by scribbling the colors onto my mat and actually using as watercolor, but I didn't get such bold color on that one. Then I mixed the blues and purples together to slap on the shadows on the snow. I drew in the trees with my black marker. I drew a border around it before I pulled off the washi tape mask and then stamped in the "magical day" sentiment. This is going to my sister-in-law whose birthday is tomorrow. She's been so into watercolor lately, that I decided that no matter what today's challenge was it was going to be her birthday card.

You got some nice movement going on in that sky my friend, and I am impressed that you decided to hand draw all your trees. ( Since I'm so far behind this week, I took the easier "stamp it and done" technique.) I like the purply shadow on your snow drifts - but most of all - isn't it fabulous not to get so stressed like we did in the beginning??!! We've come a LONG way baby!

Your SIL is going to flip over this, Jen. Your markers came out sooooo well. I love the colors and your shadows on the hills are wonderfully done too. Beautiful work. Hugz
