I survived another Watercolor Wednesday! But I totally cheated by drawing in the stripes in my sky with Spectrum Aqua markers and then spreading the color around with water and a brush. I did the other one by scribbling the colors onto my mat and actually using as watercolor, but I didn't get such bold color on that one. Then I mixed the blues and purples together to slap on the shadows on the snow. I drew in the trees with my black marker. I drew a border around it before I pulled off the washi tape mask and then stamped in the "magical day" sentiment. This is going to my sister-in-law whose birthday is tomorrow. She's been so into watercolor lately, that I decided that no matter what today's challenge was it was going to be her birthday card.

Beautiful, Jen. I bet your sister-in-law will love it. Good job with the sky and I really love the rest of your scene, also. I think watercolor was just meant for you. Thanks for playing along.

How beautifully done- your sis will be so impressed! Your colors are beautiful, no matter how you did them- love the added segment of green and your shadows in the snow : )
