I thought about closely casing it because I love her background and the lovely colors, but knew it wouldn't work out for me. I needed a Sympathy card as one my Mother's closest friends passed this last week and my new Cosmos paper was calling to me. So it all worked out.
I bought this old leaf set at a thrift store or garage sale and never really liked how it stamped. Today I like it! Love when that happens.
Lots of sponging on this and I heated up some Frantage to add more interest since my paper did all the work.
Congrats Deb, and I hope you enjoy seeing how you inspire others. I needed the inspiration this weekend. Your cards are lovely and you are super sweet.

You are the queen of what I call atmospheric cards - I always feel like I've been transported to somewhere magical when I see how you build depth through layers of colour and texture!

Lucky you - it IS great when a misbehaving stamp decides to behave. Great card, just sorry it has to be for a sad occasion. Your mom’s friend will take comfort from it.
