This card is for 2 challenges. The Colour Challenge colours are Cajun Craze, Poppy Parade & Mango Melody. I substituted Mango Melody and opted for the dessert of a frame. It is also for Susan's Tea Party Challenge - Art Blooms. What a great challenge, I loved being introduced to the life and art of Mary Delaney.
I started by finding the 2 large leaves in my garden. The weather here is still pretty mild so the leaves are only just starting to change their colour. I adhered the leaves to white c/s, added a few more green leaves and ran through the Big Shot, between 2 plates. The green at the bottom of the panel is the dried liquid from the green leaves. I then sponged around the leaves in Poppy Parade.
I stamped the flowers in Poppy Parade, fussy cut and adhered to the leaves. Sprayed the whole panel with the gold glimmer mist. Left to dry. Once dry, I added the liquid pearls to the centres of the flower. I adhered a piece of acetate to the embossed frame and adhered this frame to the panel.
I enjoyed making this card! TFL!

Oh, yes! Even better...and what an interesting use of Mixed Media, Sue. Mrs D. would be drop jawed gazing at all the elements of your card. I know I love the juxtaposition. And absolutely perfect use of the color challenge. Those bold hot colours tamed by that background. So happy you enjoyed the Art Bloomer challenge. Don’t you wonder what Mary would think of us?

How cool that you used real leaves, Sue. I recognize that flower stamp since I have it though haven’t used it in a long time. I really like the liquid pearls in the center.

if what you did to leaves is what I am thinking----I have done that with both flowers and leaves and can be a little messy due to liquids in both but lots of them came out neat. This is so pretty and when looking at it looks like those that one puts one of those flickering tea lights behind and the card gives off a like light to it---super card
