This card is for 2 challenges. The Colour Challenge colours are Cajun Craze, Poppy Parade & Mango Melody. I substituted Mango Melody and opted for the dessert of a frame. It is also for Susan's Tea Party Challenge - Art Blooms. What a great challenge, I loved being introduced to the life and art of Mary Delaney.
I started by finding the 2 large leaves in my garden. The weather here is still pretty mild so the leaves are only just starting to change their colour. I adhered the leaves to white c/s, added a few more green leaves and ran through the Big Shot, between 2 plates. The green at the bottom of the panel is the dried liquid from the green leaves. I then sponged around the leaves in Poppy Parade.
I stamped the flowers in Poppy Parade, fussy cut and adhered to the leaves. Sprayed the whole panel with the gold glimmer mist. Left to dry. Once dry, I added the liquid pearls to the centres of the flower. I adhered a piece of acetate to the embossed frame and adhered this frame to the panel.
I enjoyed making this card! TFL!

Oh Sue - this is just incredible. Love the way you used real leaves for the background. The rustic frame is just the perfect match. Our autumn trees are not colouring up much this year - just a few leaves here and there and just dropping green tattered leaves. Think it has something to do with the hail storm we had a few months back. Very strange Autumn in the garden this year.

Stunning card, Sue! The combination of the leaf prints and die cut flowers is beautiful. Adding the embossed panel makes this ready to frame and display.

Sue, congrats on getting all the faves on this. I love the embossed framing and using the leaves from your garden. I have this flower set too and have not played with it for awhile. Love the liquid pearl centers!
