Our dear Susie is hosting a tea party for my mom who recently moved into an assisted living facility.
At first, mom was not keen on the idea of moving, but I can happily say she has adjusted very well to her new surroundings and know she will be thrilled to receive cards for her first Christmas in her new home.
To accommodate Susie's fun challenge of the twelve days/things of Christmas, I chose a Screen Divider card.
I cut the black CS to size and cut the top with a scalloped punch and the bottom with another punch. I used gold glitter paper as my base layer on the inside panels, then using SU toile DP in red and green, I embossed them in a corrugated embossing folder and sponges some antique linen DI along the edges. I stamped and die cut holly leaves and adhered to the corners. I die cut the letters for the French sentiment and glued accordingly. (Mom was born and raised in France, the Alsace region)
Instead of using a Santa and Christmas tree, I opted for a party dress for Mrs. Santa made up of die cut pine boughs on a dimensional dress form that I had in my stash.
The baubles were stamped in mute vintage colors, then clear embossed for shine.
The silver glitter panels were partially die cut with a border edge.
For the last panel, I stamped the Eiffel Tower on kraft and fussy cut. I stamped and fussy cut the presents with the same colors as the baubles and placed accordingly with one package popped up on foam dot.
I finished with adding a Fleur-de-lis sticker next to the Eiffel Tower.
I glued the cotton lace ribbon at the bottom then added the four panels accordingly.
Thanks again Susie and thanks in advance for those who can join the tea party for Mom.
This will be a wonderful Christmas to remember!!

What a great card you've created for your mom! I'm sure all the cards will bring her lots of smiles! I'm a bit slow, but will get a card done and mailed today.

What a truly amazing work of he(art) this Parisian-inspired screen card is! I love the lace, how you did the dress form, the way you added the letters onto the toile paper and the fun Eiffel Tower image. The touches of silver and gold sparkle are really nice too. Your mother is going to adore this gorgeous card you made especially for her. ~Karen.
