Asian Screen in Green

WT800 - Letâs Visit Asia

I have the SU Artistically Asian set and also a panda from another company. Each stamp was colored with several different mini distress cubes and then spritzed with water and set gently onto watercolor paper. The dragonflies were die cut, colored, and then smooshed in other colors for a random coloring, then brushed with SN sparkle brush. I remember Asian pictures sitting on black ebony holders, so I black-embossed the âlegsâ of my screen, which was cut from green patterned paper, and a different print was used for the panels behind the pictures. Something different from the usual Asian color scheme.

Iâve never done this tutorial before. Fun!

Oh, clever the way you embossed the green base for the legs, giving a real lacquered look - and a great die for shaping them. I like your soft watercolor look on the panels, and love the encouraging message your panda brings. I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial - it's one I go back to regularly.

Sooo gorgeous! I appreciate hearing how you achieved the soft brush stroke appearance of your bamboo- spritzing the stamp. Also, the use of the black lacquer also makes this so authentically Asian.
