After scrolling through most of the Accesorize website, I finally settled on this silk scarf . . . I tried several (failed) techniques to mimic this pretty watered silk but finally got my best result with my favorite 2" natural bristle paint brush. I scribbled streaks of blue, pink and Purple marker on a piece of acrylic then spritzed generously with water. I dragged my paint brush through this mix and then swiped diagonally in both directions. Dried my piece then followed the same procedure with a bit of orange . . .I did it in 2 steps so I wouldn't get a muddy brown from the introduction of the orange. I stamped the sentiment in black and embossed with clear EP. I stamped the girls on a piece of scrap stock, colored just one for today with prismacolor pencils but when I went to blend with gamsol, I couldn't find a single bag of blending stumps - I looked in all the obvious places - I CLEANED off my desktop and put away product - I check drawers & boxes and "stacks" to no avail - the crafting gremlins got me good. It is now several HOURS into this project so in desperation I applied the gamsol with Q-tips with less than stellar results but it will have to do for today! I fussy cut my image and carefully applied a black sharpie to all the cut edges. Glued her feet directly to my bg and lifted the rest of the body with mounting foam for dimension. Scattered a few sequins and attached to the purple card base.
