After scrolling through most of the Accesorize website, I finally settled on this silk scarf . . . I tried several (failed) techniques to mimic this pretty watered silk but finally got my best result with my favorite 2" natural bristle paint brush. I scribbled streaks of blue, pink and Purple marker on a piece of acrylic then spritzed generously with water. I dragged my paint brush through this mix and then swiped diagonally in both directions. Dried my piece then followed the same procedure with a bit of orange . . .I did it in 2 steps so I wouldn't get a muddy brown from the introduction of the orange. I stamped the sentiment in black and embossed with clear EP. I stamped the girls on a piece of scrap stock, colored just one for today with prismacolor pencils but when I went to blend with gamsol, I couldn't find a single bag of blending stumps - I looked in all the obvious places - I CLEANED off my desktop and put away product - I check drawers & boxes and "stacks" to no avail - the crafting gremlins got me good. It is now several HOURS into this project so in desperation I applied the gamsol with Q-tips with less than stellar results but it will have to do for today! I fussy cut my image and carefully applied a black sharpie to all the cut edges. Glued her feet directly to my bg and lifted the rest of the body with mounting foam for dimension. Scattered a few sequins and attached to the purple card base.

I love this, Linda. A gorgeous bg and love the sequins that look like water droplets.

This is gorgeous! The background is fabulous! I love the way it turned out. Oh, drat on the missing blending stumps! I JUST an hour ago bought me OMS so that I could work with the technique again. You did a great job with the Qtips. NOW I hope I CAN find my blending stumps!

I love that background and the total card. Great sentiment for your girl. Oh, those crafting gremlins can really cause trouble, can't they? But, in the end, I think all is just fine for your pretty card.

Stunning card, Linda. The bg is such a lovely blend of colors and pattern. The woman and sentiment look great against this pretty bg. Wonderful sentiment. So very pretty.
