When I looked at the IC challenge this morning, I picked THIS image, as I recently got the Bleeding Heart stamp from ODBD. I waited for the DTGD challenges to go live to see if I could combine, and bingo, Stacy's challenge was perfect. It's also for the current ODBD Sponging or Stencilling challenge ~ in fact I did both ;-).
Base sponged with Peeled Paint distress stain.
I took some white card and using the ink DTP I sponged antique linen, old paper and frayed burlap. I scored some lines which don't really show, and then added some gesso, then stamped it with the IO woodgrain backgrounder in weathered wood. Added the burlap ribbon and bamboo cording.
For the image panel, I stamped the flower and coloured it with pencils. While in the die I sponged with antique linen, then I stencilled with peeled paint. I added some chunky white EP and popped the panel up on foam. I distressed the wood layer edges slightly, and added a sentiment to finish it off.

I love your main image panel! I love the softness the patterns, the colors and the glimmer!

Oh, Sabrina, your bleeding hearts are lovely, and I think the chunky embossing powder is wonderful to add rich texture! Beautiful card, and it's wonderful you were able to make this for DTGD and the ODBD Shining the Light challenge! Hugs, sweet friend!

This is beautiful Sabrina!! I just love the sponged background, the added splatter and the beautifully colored bleeding hearts against the rustic dp. It gives it a sort of shabby chic feel. Thanks so much for sharing it with us at ODBD!!
