When I looked at the IC challenge this morning, I picked THIS image, as I recently got the Bleeding Heart stamp from ODBD. I waited for the DTGD challenges to go live to see if I could combine, and bingo, Stacy's challenge was perfect. It's also for the current ODBD Sponging or Stencilling challenge ~ in fact I did both ;-).
Base sponged with Peeled Paint distress stain.
I took some white card and using the ink DTP I sponged antique linen, old paper and frayed burlap. I scored some lines which don't really show, and then added some gesso, then stamped it with the IO woodgrain backgrounder in weathered wood. Added the burlap ribbon and bamboo cording.
For the image panel, I stamped the flower and coloured it with pencils. While in the die I sponged with antique linen, then I stencilled with peeled paint. I added some chunky white EP and popped the panel up on foam. I distressed the wood layer edges slightly, and added a sentiment to finish it off.

You really achieved the perfect balance of design inspiration on this card. I can still feel the beauty of the inspiration photo layered within your design!

Oh, i love that chunky junk! it adds so much to an image I think!! Your fairy must be hiding in the flowers because I don't see her!! And I KNOW that is fairy dust!!
Your card is beautiful!
