This week our teaparty is for our dear sweet SCS Kathleen. Kathleen is facing some pretty hefty health issues right now and needs our help & prayers to brighten her spirits. We were to bring some kind of flower, animal, etc that represents courage/strength. After searching all over the internet for flowers representing strength, I have nothing. Tons of flowers, but none that represent strength............except I do have fennel!! Fennel is a sign of strength and pretty to boot. So fennel it is along with my words of encouragement by way of a Tim Holtz stamp. Kathleen, if you are browsing SCS, please know we are keeping you close in our hearts during this time. Hugs my friend. TFL.

Fennel - who knew? I know it's somewhat medicinal, so maybe that's why. I certainly love it in my cooking, and it looks pretty sweet on this card too, Mary. What an encouraging sentiment too.

Nice card, Mary! I noticed fennel represented strength and I'm glad you had the stamp (I think I do too but I didn't know it was fennel, I thought it was somebody's version of a dandelion...hee.) Kathleen will appreciate the thoughtful words.
