What a fun challenge!! Judy has us Stamping with Leaves (real leaves) this morning. I picked up some fallen leaves when I walked over to buy some milk, and since DH is on a day's leave and was sleeping off being at a motorbike rally I had time to make this before I start the housework.
First I used some neutrals, a green and a blue to make a wrinkle-free distress background so that my leaves weren't on stark white card.
Then I inked my leaves with various Colorbox Pigment inks and laid them on the card, then I ran it through the Big Shot to transfer the ink to the card. (Just the regular sandwich for thin dies, only without the dies, just the card and leaves. Trim any thick stalks off first, though!).
The problem with pretty backgrounds is I never want to cover them up too much, so I simply stamped the sentiment from ODBD and a "windy" flourish in silver embossed with Iridescent Ice. Edges sponged with blue, mounted on a white card base. I spent about twenty minutes trying to find something discreet and soft to stamp in the bottom left corner, and then decided to just leave it!
Thanks, Judy - I'll definitely be trying this again. Way prettier than grade-school leaf prints with paint ;-).

This is spectacular Sabrina!!! Your leaves are all so pretty and the soft color is so uniform. It really almost looks like designer paper. I wouldn't want to cover it up either. A wonderful sentiment!! :>)

Beautiful card.....love the mix of the lovely fall colors. Thanks for the tip to run it through the Big Shot. I can see why you didn't want to cover the bg you created. tfs

Sabrina this is gorgeous.... love how you sponged the cs before inking the leaves... I should have done that with my card because it is stark white like you said...sponging the edges helped though... anyway, love all the colours used for your leaves and the beautiful flourish... well done....
