The challenge over at CCEE Stampers this morning is to "sing a song", and there are some fun cards there. No - you don't have to sing out loud unless you want to, but create a card inspired by the words or title of a song.
My go-to song for this is always Somewhere Over the Rainbow so I pushed myself out of my comfort zone on this one.
When I started I had Singing in The Rain in my head - although after I added the big musical raindrops I thought Raindrops Keep Falliing on my Head would be just as suitable.
DH has taken this for one of his best workers who sadly has to leave work, so I made an inside panel stamped with music in blue, with a sentiment saying You're Leaving (and I'm singing the blues).
Navy A2 base.
Faded Jeans, Stormy Sky and Weathered Wood for wrinkle free distress, then stamped with IO CAC Distress in Faded Jeans. Aperture cut with oval Spellbinders.
DeNami chick layered behind, coloured with distress inks: Festive Berries, Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Gathered Twigs, Peeled Paint, Stormy Sky. Red button.
Rain drops are RubberStamp Avenue music on some wrinkle-free distress, Tonic punch, edged with Sakura metallic pen and popped up. Button and twine.
