A huge congrats to Beate for being selected Queen For the Day. As I'm sure we all agree, she's the Queen of SCS too. Beate, your work is so beautiful and inspiring. I've learned so much through your tutorials too.
I chose the last card you just made b/c it is a "FRENCH/PARIS" scene which I love to do and you used the triple layer technique I've been dying to try. I used a different stamp, colors and details.
The last card I did with this stamp was in pinks and yellows. In this one I used blues, greens, yellow, purples and black.
I embossed the whole image on three sections of paper. I then colored with an array of copics. I used my versarmark marker and covered all the colored parts, then I embossed with clear embossing powder so that when I sponged the colors would stay intact.
I sponged faded jeans distress ink on the first layer representing the sky; peeled paint on the second layer representing the lusch greenery in France; and used scatter straw on the last layer which was popped up to give it a more spring feel.
It's funny, but the 1st card I made using this stamp, I didn't notice there was a little *tiny bird and butterfly toward the left 3/4 down corner. You can barely see them, but they are cute. I must have thought they were flowers or leaves.
EDIT: According to Stampin'nana, the bird is not a bird, but part of the blossom. But, I stand by it being a cute little blue bird!
I added some green jute I just received from my punchie pal, Benzi - Thanks Benz. How cool is the timing on that? I also used the fleur de lis border punch, lace, paper piercing and black pearls.
I think that's it. Thanks for taking a look and enjoy your reign Beate!!

This is absolutely fabulous. Great technique to use with this stamp-it really brings out the detail in the stamp. I love the green burlap banner too. This is exceptional. I have been wanting this stamp but can't find it right now. But I need to favorite this card so I can remember to do this technique with my Christmas version of this stamp. Yours looks exquisite.
