The technique for today was totally new to me, pounded flowers. My daylilies were about done blooming, but I found one to use. There is no purple on this flower at all, so I don't know where the purple came from!
I lightly sponged the white areas with lovely lilac and green galore. The attached flower was one I had colored months ago. It's my friend's stamp, so I don't know the name of it. I'm very pleased with the results except that the watercolor paper warped. I have the card under some heavy books now, trying to flatten it. ;-)

Isn't it amazing the results you get...colors you never expected! I think that makes this challenge fun. Your card is beautiful! I like that you left your pounded panel to be the center of interest.

Love this! I was totally amazed with this technique and how some of the flowers turned out... Your card is wonderful - love how you've finished it with the pearls and punched border...

Gorgeous results from your daylily! Purple must be one of Mother Nature's favorite colors, because it seems to be a base tint in a lot of the flowers today.
