September's downline challenge was to make a monochromatic card with a max of 2 neutrals and watercolor. I used this week's sketch for the LO. I wanted to use only existing SU product and the only DP I have thus far is Bella Rose, so I stuck with a red/pink color palette. The main panel was stamped in Riding Hood Red and Versamark and was clear embossed. I went over the tree with the Versamark pen and again clear embossed. Then using Pirouette Pink, Regal Rose and Riding Hood Red I watercolored the sky with ink from the ink pads. I was trying to create a sunset. The stag was also stamped in Rding Hood red and versamark with clear embossing. He was cut out and lifted on double dimensionals. That image was layered on RHRed, Pirouette Pink and Whisper White, with Bella Rose DP underneath.
This was created with a work colleague in mind. He and his wife were involved in a head-on collision this week, so we will be sending a card each week, thus my choice of sentiment.
What do you think of my stately stag? Thanks for looking and commenting.

This is absolutely gorgeous in the Riding Hood Red. I've been using that one more than any of the other new In Colors, it is much prettier than Real Red. LOVE your card.

I love this! I have this set but haven't used it yet- now I'm inspired too. Love the mono colors and your sketch. Love how you cut out the image - very neat focal point.
